T Break Stage, tomorrow
FORMED as an art project by a sculptor, a painter and printmaker, and as likely to be found making films as writing songs, Edinburgh’s Found are more interesting – and have a wider set of influences – than your average guitar band. Previous enterprises have included a show called Homespun, for which they made music with sewing machines, and Flight Path, a live art event at which sounds were generated by the audience throwing paper aeroplanes into beams of light. Their T in the Park debut is likely to be more straightforward, showcasing their debut album, Found Can Move (think the Beta Band, but funkier and with a dash of both Brian Eno and Tom Waits). But Found are never completely straightforward, so expect a few surprises.
